CSCI 6330: On-Line Algorithms

This page contains material specific to the Spring 1999 CSCI 6330 Special Topics (on On-Line Algorithms) class taught by Steve Tate in the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of North Texas.

We have a newsgroup set up for class discussions now (umm... just in time for your last assignment to almost be over!). You can either use a traditional newsreader to access the newsgroup unt.class.spring99.csci.6330-003 on server news.unt.edu, of if you're using a browser with news capability built-in (like Netscape version>=3.0 and probably some version of Internet Explorer), you can just click here: newsgroup.

Locally Produced Material

Latex Example

I have written up a small Latex source file that demonstrates various features available with Latex. This file also documents how to access the various programs from the UNT CS machine silo.

You can download the Latex source, and the included picture in either xfig format or encapsulated PostScript. If you want to see what the entire document looks like after typesetting with Latex, you can get the output from here in either PostScript or PDF.

Tons more information about TeX and LaTeX is available on the Web. As a starting pont, here's an index of some TeX information (this is a Yahoo index).

The TeX Users Group web page is another good place to start.

Current students are welcome to send me anonymous comments.
